- Digital Citizenship: Educate students on safe, respectful, and responsible internet use and online safety.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a productive, organized, and positive learning environment in the tech lab or mobile cart setting, accommodating different age groups throughout the day.
- Assessment: Evaluate and track student progress, providing brief feedback to homeroom teachers and parents as needed.
- Equipment Care: Ensure proper use, storage, and basic troubleshooting of student devices (e.g., Chromebooks, iPads, or laptops) during your designated day.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Differentiated Instruction: Proven ability to adapt teaching strategies for a vast developmental span (from 5-year-olds to 13-year-olds).
- Scope and Sequence Planning: Ability to maximize impact with limited contact time (once per week per class).
- Gamified Learning: Familiarity with educational technology platforms that engage students (e.g., Kahoot, Quizizz, Seesaw, Nearpod).
Technical Proficiency
- EdTech Ecosystems: Mastery of Google Workspace for Education (Google Classroom, Docs, Slides) and/or Microsoft 365.
- Introductory Coding Tools: Familiarity with block-based coding platforms suitable for youth (e.g., Scratch, ScratchJr, Code.org).
